What If You Made a Puppet
A Puppet Making Workshop
This workshop will touch on all things puppet related. We’ll talk about the types of puppets we build and how our process works from rough sketches on paper to the finished product. We’ll discuss how we create our puppet shows that tour all over the region, and how we use puppets in classrooms to promote social-emotional learning and help create strategies for educators that they can incorporate into their daily teaching practice.
Following that, each attendee will get to craft a simple moving mouth puppet of their own design with materials from our shop, and our staff will be available to offer assistance and answer questions as needed.
Lastly, after a short intro on basic puppet manipulation, everyone will have the opportunity to bring their puppets to life on camera, and to see how they can recreate this simple set up for themselves at home!
